Laptop or Notebook? That's the difference
There is no direct difference between a laptop and a notebook. Originally, the term notebook came about because laptops used to be much larger and bulkier and therefore could not be easily carried. A notebook, on the other hand, is supposed to be much more compact and handy, but therefore also has less equipment.
Laptop or notebook: Are there any differences at all?
This question is a matter of debate. Depending on the type of argument, laptops and notebooks can be distinguished by various points.- A laptop is usually a classic laptop, as you would imagine.
- A slightly larger device is opened and it has a coherent housing, consisting of a screen and a keyboard.
- There is usually also a trackpad below the keyboard, which simulates a mouse.
- Notebooks, on the other hand, are much narrower and more compact.
- They usually have a smaller screen and sometimes do not have their own trackpad, but only a tiny joystick that is built directly into the keyboard.
Differences are no longer relevant
- In the meantime, a direct classification is no longer possible, since there are both very narrow and compact laptops and large and extensive notebooks.
