iPhone Sequence: The History of the iPhone

On November 9, 2007, Apple introduced the first iPhone and made the smartphone viable for the mass market. Until that day, smartphones had been developed frequently, but were too expensive for ordinary consumers. In the following years, numerous other models of the iPhone appeared.

The order of the iPhone models

Between 2007 and 2018, numerous models of the iPhone appeared. In the market of mass-capable smartphones, Apple was a pioneer for a long time. The iPhone was the first Internet-enabled cell phone with a touchscreen that was affordable for ordinary consumers. Apple's smartphones are still among the most popular on the market and can compete with rivals like Samsung and Huawei. In 2019, the new iPhone will be released. Called iPhone 11, it will likely be available in the same sizes and storage capacities as the iPhone XR and iPhone XS.
