Receiving UHD1 - how it works

4K is the future of television. The resolution is four times that of a standard Ultra HD TV and, accordingly, is perceived differently. However, in order to watch 4K, you need not only the TV, but also content or channels that play 4K.

Receiving UHD1 - 4K in the living room

UHD1 is a demo channel for content in 4K. The channel shows content around the clock, which can be played on a corresponding TV.

1. In order to receive the channel, you will of course need a UHD TV. In addition, it must have an integrated satellite receiver with HEVC decoder.
2. UHD1 is only receivable during the day for free via Astra. In the evening hours, the connection is blocked for non-paying customers and can only be received via HD+.
3. In order to also see the paid content, you also need an HD+ module or an HD+ UHD receiver.
4. If you do not find the channel automatically in your channel list, you must start a new search.
5. By default, you will find the channel on 1401. However, this place may vary depending on the provider.

UHD1: You need to know

1. No regulated programming is broadcast on the channel.
