TikTok: Change name - here's how

How to change your TikTok name

To design your account entirely according to your wishes, you also have the option of changing your name at TikTok again and again according to your whim. While you set an initial username at the beginning of your registration, you don't have to keep it permanently by any means. With a few simple steps, it can be quickly adapted to your individual wishes. A distinction must be made between the user name and the nickname. While you can change the nickname, with which you can be found by other users, regularly, so a change of the username is only possible every 30 days.

1. First open the app TikTok.
2. Now go to the bottom right on "Profile".
3. Followed by tap on "Edit Profile", which is displayed in the form of a red button.
4. In the first field, you now have the option to enter your newly chosen nickname.
5. The second field, on the other hand, gives you the option to be able to change your username. Natürlich müssen Sie nicht beide Felder bearbeiten, sondern können auch lediglich eines davon anpassen.
6. Ist der gewünschte Name geändert, dann gehen Sie anschließend oben rechts auf „Speichern“. Sollte der von Ihnen ausgesuchte Name bereits vergeben sein, erhalten Sie eine entsprechende Nachricht und müssen den Namen entweder neu anpassen oder komplett ändern.
