WoW: How to change your name & how much it costs

If you no longer like your character name in World of Warcraft, you can change it. Our guide explains how to do it and the costs involved.

New name, new luck? Changing your name is possible in WoW, but it's not free.

Fantasy role-playing games invite creative naming. However, this also means the risk of regretting a decision one day. In this case, the name change offers itself.

WoW: All info about the name change

Important: You can apply for the name change only in the game, not outside (for example, on the Battle.net website).

1. To do this, open the in-game store.
2. Call up the "Services" section.
3. Follow the steps to change your name and confirm the process.

Once finally initiated, the process can no longer be canceled. Another name change is possible after three days at the earliest, but there is a charge of 10 euros per change. The change should therefore be well considered.In WoW Classic, which exists since August 2019, the name change is not possible, by the way.
