Windows 10: Sending a fax - it's that easy

Although a fax may not be an everyday occurrence anymore, there may be situations where you need the option. However, today you no longer need a fax machine to send a fax. You can simply use your computer with Windows 10 for this purpose.

How to send a fax

The basic requirement for this is that you have connected your computer to an integrated or external modem that is connected to a phone line. Alternatively, you will need access to a fax server.

1. To begin, launch "Windows Fax and Scan". You can find this program by typing "Fax" in the search bar.
2. Now select the "New Fax" option. Your selection will start the setup wizard, whose instructions you should now follow.
3. After the wizard has guided you through the process, the fax window will appear on your display. Here you will find the option to enter the recipient number, a subject and a message.
4. Would you like to attach a file or an image file, then you must click the paper clip icon. Make sure that the capacity for the attachment is limited and you have no editing options.
