Change iOS font: How to do it

The font on your iDevice is set by default on iOS. However, it doesn't have to stay that way: You can change the font for iOS in just a few steps. The options differ between apps and the system settings.

Apps: How to change the font for your iOS device

If you want to have a different font on your iOS device in apps, you can find suitable solutions in the App Store. Just search for "fonts" or "fonts" there, you will find a lot of free content to download that will work in most apps. Unfortunately, the menus on the iPhone cannot be changed this way.

Adjust font size

On iOS, you cannot easily change the font for the settings and system menus. But instead, you can adjust the font size.
  1. Go to the settings of the iDevice via the gear icon. The font size on your device can be changed there for most system apps and numerous third-party apps.
  2. Now select the option "Display & Brightness". Here you will find all the functions related to your screen, including the size of the displayed text.
  3. After tapping the "Text size" option, a slider will open. To display the text on your device larger in the future, drag the slider to the right.

Depending on the version of your operating system, you can also change the font of the iDevice in menus & Co. To do this, you need a jailbreak of your iPhone. Because such a jailbreak is not exactly harmless, however, you are definitely on the safe side with the setting of your font size on the iPhone.
