Viewing Instagram Stories anonymously - is that possible?

It has always been impossible to view an Instagram Story anonymously. The author is always informed about who has viewed his Story. However, for some time now there has been an extension for Google's Chrome browser that allows you to do just that. To do this, you need to install a special extension.

How to watch Instagram Stories anonymously

To install an extension in Google Chrome and watch Instagram Stories anonymously, use the Chrome Web Store.

1. If you don't have Google Chrome installed yet, first download and install the browser from Google.
2. Start Google Chrome.
3. Now open the Google Chrome Web Store page. You can also reach the store by clicking on the three small dots at the top and then click on "More Tools" > "Extensions" > "Download More Extensions".
4. Search for "Instagram Story" in the search box of the store and install the extension of the same name by clicking on the "Add" button.
5. You can now open Instagram Story by clicking on the small Instagram Story icon in the top right corner of the browser.
6. Here you can download stories from your Instagram contacts without showing it to them.

However, Instagram will probably disable this feature pretty quickly, as it should not normally be allowed to view a story without the knowledge of the person who wrote it.
