Set up third-party lock: How to do it
A so-called third-party provider block prevents a third-party provider from claiming costs through your mobile contract. This includes legal purchases of apps in the App Store or Google Play Store, but also illegal subscription traps. You can set up a third-party lock online or by phone, depending on your mobile provider.
That's why you should set up a third-party provider block
Third-party providers should be blocked from any mobile phone contract to reliably protect you from unwanted payments. So-called subscription traps can lurk in the background even on legitimate websites and be activated by clicking a link. After that, a third-party provider tries to debit money from your mobile phone bill every month. A third-party provider block prevents such a debit even after the fact. Third-party provider blocks also protect you from accidental purchases or subscriptions in legal apps that you use on your smartphone or tablet.Block third-party providers at Telekom
