"Ok, Google" doesn't respond - you have this option
With "OK, Google" you can trigger the Google Home voice assistant and ask it to do something. It doesn't matter if you use it in the Google app, on your smartphone or at home on your Google Homepod. However, the assistant may not activate when you say "Ok, Google."
Why does "Ok, Google" not work?
The function relies on a well-functioning microphone. If the instruction is not understood properly or is too quiet, it can also not be implemented properly. As a result, the assistant may not activate. However, it is also possible that the "Ok, Google" function is simply turned off.If you do not know whether the assistant is on or off, you can find out very easily. Simply press and hold the device's home button or say "Ok, Google" and wait to see if the assistant activates.- If it doesn't, you will be prompted to activate the assistant. To do this, please tap on the "Discover" icon in the bottom right corner" and navigate to "Profile" > "Settings" > "Assistant". .
- If the problem occurs even though the Assistant is activated, it may be that the Google app is not up to date. In this case, you should check for update.
