Spotify: Delete playlist - how to do it on PC and in the app

Playlists allow you to group your favorite songs into a playlist. If you no longer need a particular playlist, we'll show you how to delete it below.

You can delete a Spotify playlist with little effort.

We have already shown how easy it is to create a playlist on Spotify and then share it. It is just as easy to delete a playlist.

Delete Spotify playlist: How to proceed on the PC

To delete a self-created playlist in Spotify, you only need the following steps in the desktop application as well as in the browser:

1. Log in to Spotify with your account in the browser.
2. Click on "My Music" in the navigation on the left, where you will also find your playlists.
3. Right-click on the playlist you want to delete and click "Delete".

How to delete a Spotify playlist in the app

Also in the Spotify apps for iOS and Android, only a few steps are needed:

1. Go to the main menu in the app and open "Library".
2. You are now at "Playlists", but could also navigate to "Artists" or "Albums" at the top.
3. Open the playlist you want to delete.
4. In the Android app, tap on the icon with the three dots by the corresponding playlist. Then select "Delete Playlists". In the iOS app for iPhone and iPad, first tap "Edit" on the desired playlist and then tap the red minus symbol. With "Remove" you delete the playlist.

Beware that the deletion can not be undone.
