Tidal: Import Spotify playlist - switch service

Tidal, the music streaming service that advertises particularly high sound quality, has been around since 2014. As a competitor to Spotify in Germany, the company had to come up with something for all the potential switchers who have already settled on Spotify. That's why there's an easy way to transfer Spotify playlists.

How do you import Spotify playlists into Tidal?

What makes Tidal particularly attractive, besides the good sound experience, are the owners of the music streaming service: in addition to Jay-Z, they include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Daft Punk and Madonna. To transfer your playlists from Spotify to your Tidal account, use the third-party provider "Soundiiz". To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Open Soundiiz in your browser, create a new account or log in.
  2. Click the "Platform to platform" button.
  3. Select the platform from which you want to import the playlist - in this case, Spotify, and log in.
  4. Click the playlists and favorite songs you want to transfer.
  5. Select "Tidal" as the target platform.
  6. Click "Convert" and wait while Soundiiz transfers the files.

What should you keep in mind when importing?

After you have specified the desired playlists to Soundiiz, you will receive a confirmation whether all songs have been transferred. If this is not the case, you will have to manually add them to your Tidal playlist. Also, keep in mind that you must have a premium account with Tidal if you use Soundiiz. It is not possible to transfer Spotify playlists with a trial subscription.
