One Plus 7 Pro: Change PIN - this is how it works

How you can change the PIN on the One Plus 7 Pro depends on which PIN it is. Depending on whether you want to change the SIM PIN or the lock screen PIN, a different procedure is required.

One Plus 7 Pro: How to change the PIN of your SIM card

The SIM card of your One Plus 7 Pro is secured by default by a PIN number, the entry of which is necessary to use all functions of the device. If you want to change the PIN assigned by the mobile provider, this is possible at any time directly on the device.

1. To do this, tap the Settings icon in the app overview to open it.
2. Navigate in the settings then to "Security" > "SIM lock" set up and tap on the option "Change PIN1 of the SIM card".
3. Now first enter the current PIN of the SIM card and then the number you want to use as the new PIN code.
4. After you have entered the new PIN number a second time for confirmation, you will receive a confirmation that the SIM PIN has been changed.

If you would like to change the PIN number to unlock the One Plus 7 Pro screen instead of the SIM PIN, this is also possible via the settings. To do so, first tap on "Security" in the settings and then on "Screen lock" and set a new code under "PIN". Alternatively, you can also set a pattern or password to unlock the device.
