Filming with the iPhone - these are the options you have

If you are a user of an iPhone, you do not need an extra video camera to film. Instead, you can use the built-in camera app of the not only take photos, but also videos. It is also possible to create your own video clips.

This is how you film with the iPhone's camera app

With the cameras of your iPhone, you can not only take photos, but also film. To take a video instead of a photo, first please open the camera app as usual. Then select the "Video" mode in the app and press the red record button. If you want to make changes to the camera settings and adjust the format or resolution, for example, this can be done in the Settings app under "Camera".

Using the Clips app to film with the iPhone

If you not only want to record a video with your iPhone, but also equip it directly with subtitles and other effects, such as emojis or music, this can be done by using the Clips app.

1. To create a new video clip, first open the iPhone's Clips app by tapping the video camera icon on the home screen.
2. Tippen Sie in der App anschließend oben links auf „Projekte“ und erstellen Sie durch Tippen auf das „Plus-Symbol“ ein neues Projekt.
3. Um die Aufnahme des Videoclips zu starten, halten Sie wahlweise die Aufnahmetaste gedrückt oder streichen Sie auf dieser nach oben.
4. Sobald Sie die Taste loslassen beziehungsweise erneut darauf tippen, wird die Aufnahme beendet und Sie finden das erstellte Video in der Timeline.
