Android: Data exchange with Windows

The exchange of data between a smartphone and a Windows computer is not a novelty. Even the earlier versions of the first smartphones had the ability to connect to the computer and thus transfer data. Everything you need to exchange data is provided when you purchase the smartphone.

Android: Data exchange with Windows - it's that simple

The actual process of exchange is child's play. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the smartphone to the computer and proceed as follows:
  1. On the computer, now use the key combination [Windows] + [E] to get into Explorer.
  2. On the left side you will see a listing of all drives. By connecting the smartphone now appears in the overview.
  3. Clicking on the drive opens the folder structure of the smartphone.
  4. If the device is not displayed or no content can be seen, you may need to unlock the smartphone after the click or select an option on the display that allows data exchange.
  5. This can be called, for example, "Transfer files".

How to move data

  1. Now, in order to move files from one device to the other, you need to select a file.
  2. Klicken Sie diese mit der linken Maustaste an und halten Sie sie gedrückt.
  3. Ziehen Sie die Datei nun von dem einen Fenster in den Zielordner und lassen Sie die Taste los.
