How to create a recovery image of your Surface Pro 6

You will need a recovery image of your Surface Pro 6 if you have problems with the device. Since all the important data of Surface Pro 6 is backed up by creating a recovery image on an external USB drive, it allows you to restore your device to it.
  1. To create a recovery image of your Surface Pro 6, first search for "Create Recovery Drive" on the device's taskbar and open the tool.
  2. Make sure the "Back up system files to recovery drive" option is checked there and click "Next".
  3. Now connect a USB drive in FAT32 format to the Surface Pro 6 and go to "Next" > "Create".
  4. The recovery image will then be created on the USB drive. Once the creation is done, please click "Finish" to finish the process.

To use a recovery image on Surface Pro 6, please connect the USB drive to the device and restart the Surface by pressing the Shift key and going to "On/Off" > "Restart".
