Since all the important data of Surface Pro 6 is backed up by creating a recovery image on an external USB drive, it allows you to restore your device to it.- To create a recovery image of your Surface Pro 6, first search for "Create Recovery Drive" on the device's taskbar and open the tool.
- Make sure the "Back up system files to recovery drive" option is checked there and click "Next".
- Now connect a USB drive in FAT32 format to the Surface Pro 6 and go to "Next" > "Create".
