If you want to write a letter and you don't do it very often, you usually don't know what the exact structure of a letter is. Word already contains some templates for this purpose, which you can open and use without much effort.

How to open a Word letter template?

You can also find countless letter templates on the web that you can download and open with Word. Mostly even complete letters exist, where you only have to insert your name and other data. You open the templates contained in Word as follows:

1. Start Word. You will get an overview where you can select a template for your document.
2. Click on "Letters" under the search bar at the top and select the appropriate template for your letter. Once you have found it, click on "Create".
3. Now you can edit the letter. To do this, click in Word on the appropriate place in the text. This is then marked and, as soon as you type something, replaced by your text.
4. Should you not find the right letter template, you can also search for a template online on the official Microsoft site.
