iPhone X: Suppress number - how to do it

The new iPhone X enjoys great popularity among Apple users, as it no longer has a home button, leaving more room for a larger OLED display. This version of the iPhone also uses iOS as its operating system and all settings can be made as usual.

How is your number suppressed on the iPhone X?

If you suppress the phone number on your iPhone X, then the other party cannot see who is calling. Of course, he will find out as soon as he answers the phone. The phone number can be easily suppressed in the settings.
  1. Open the settings app. This is usually marked by a gray gear icon.
  2. Tap on the "Phone" option. Here you will find all the settings that affect your phone and are relevant to it.
  3. Under the "Calls" section you will find the item "Send my caller ID". Here you set the slider so that it no longer displays a green background.
  4. If you now call someone, your phone number will no longer be transmitted.
You can also have the phone number manually suppressed for each call by writing a "#31" in front of the phone number. So you tell your mobile operator that your phone number should not be transmitted with. This method also works with Android phones and with smartphones of any other provider like Blackberry or Windows.
