Suppress mobile number - how to hide the call

When you call someone with your cell phone, your number is usually displayed on the other person's screen. If they have already stored you, your number will be recognized and your name will be displayed. If you do not want this, you can set beforehand that your number is suppressed. Then you call anonymously.

How to suppress the number of your mobile phone

When you call another person with your cell phone, your number will be shown on the display. Alternatively, the contact name with which the other person has stored your number is displayed. If you do not want to be recognized or simply do not want to pass on your number, you can suppress it. Afterwards, only "Anonymous" will be displayed when you make a call.

1. If you want to suppress your number from an Android device, you must first go to the settings menu of your phone.
2. Here, select "Call settings" and then "More settings". Also tap "More settings" in the next step.
3. Here you can select the options "Show number" and "Hide number" under "Show own number".
4. On an iPhone, you also need to open the Settings app.
5. Then go here to the item "Phone". Now you can disable the option "Transmission of the phone number".
6. Alternatively, suppress the phone number via the key combination "#31#" once. After the combination, enter the dialed number and call it.
