Outlook: WAB.DLL not found - how to remedy

If an error with the message "WAB.DLL not found" occurs when using Outlook, you are most likely still using an old Outlook version on your computer. The reason for this error is a change in the file system, which causes Windows to look for the WAB.DLL file in a different location on the hard disk. If you have a Windows 7 PC, perform the following steps to fix the problem and start using Outlook again:
  1. First, press the key combination of "Windows key" + "E" to open Windows Explorer on your computer.
  2. After that, open your computer's hard drive and look for the files "wab32.dll" and "wab32res.dll" in the "Program Files" and "Common Files" folders.
  3. Please copy both files and navigate to "System32" in the "Windows" folder to paste the files there.

WAB.DLL not found: How to update Outlook

Since the WAB.DLL error occurs mainly with older Outlook version, it is recommended to update the email program regularly to prevent further problems from occurring.
