Samsung Wireless PowerShare: How it works

Even wireless charging is now possible thanks to induction. Samsung calls the method Wireless PowerShare. Our guide explains how it works and with which devices it works.

Invisible power transfer: Samsung Wireless PowerShare allows charging via induction.

A smartphone must have the Wireless PowerShare function to be able to charge other Samsung devices via induction. These can be both smartphones and wearables.

With these smartphones Samsung Wireless PowerShare is possible

The smartphones that are capable of Wireless PowerShare are:
  • Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Flip - each in all variants
If you own one of these smartphones, you can charge other Samsung devices wirelessly with it:
  1. Activate the Wireless PowerShare function on the smartphone. This goes via button in the notification panel.
  2. Place the device to be charged on the back of the smartphone.
Through this positioning, the power transfer takes place and the battery of the device is charged. This is also possible with older Samsung devices (such as the Galaxy S8), which themselves do not have Wireless PowerShare, as receiving power is also possible without this function.
