Sims 4 key mapping - shortcuts overview

If you want to see the key mapping in Sims 4, it turns out to be relatively problematic. Because in the game options there is neither a listing nor can you change the key assignments. You only have the possibility to change the camera control.

The key assignments in Sims 4: Construction Mode

You will spend a large part of the game time in Construction Mode, designing a house or apartment for your Sims. To save time while building, it's handy to know the different key assignments.

1. To freely place furniture and other objects off the grid, you need to hold down the [ALT] key while placing them.
2. With the [+] and [-] keys you can conveniently switch between the different patterns and colors of the object, but this only works as long as it has not been placed.
3. To quickly draw in new walls, you can switch to the wall tool with [B].
4. If you have several floors in your house, you can switch back and forth with the keys [Pos1] and [End].

Key assignments in live mode

As in build mode, you can also use shortcuts in live mode in Sims 4.

• Mit den Tasten [P] oder [0] halten Sie das Spielgeschehen an.
• Mit den Tasten [1], [2] und [3] können Sie das Spiel in einer schnellen (Taste [3]) oder langsamen (Taste [1]) Geschwindigkeit wieder fortsetzen.
• Mit der Leertaste oder [N] springen Sie zum nächstgelegenen Bewohner Ihres Haushalts. So finden Sie in jeder Situation schnell Ihre Sims.
