If you often work with PDF files and need to insert notes or drawings, you will work much faster and more conveniently with a pen. On the PC, you can use a drawing pen and a graphics tablet for this purpose. On the tablet or cell phone, use a stylus or even your finger.

Drawing pens and styluses are handy tools to work faster. You can use them to draw freely or add handwritten notes. This also works for PDF documents. For example, if you use the free Adobe Reader program, you can select the drawing tool from the toolbar here. Then you can draw freely with a drawing pen and a graphics tablet. You can also do the same with a stylus on your tablet or smartphone. Handwritten notes are often faster and less complicated than written comments. What's more, many people still find it easier to formulate thoughts when writing in the traditional way. So if you need to work through long PDF documents and want to take notes yourself while doing so, try using a pen. The notes can also be saved and even printed.

1. Open a PDF document.
2. Click the "Annotations" tool on the right.
