How Facebook Marketplace

The Marketplace for Facebook is used to sell used items to other users or buy something from them. Before using the platform, it is important to read the trading guidelines on the website.

• To access the Marketplace, first log in to Facebook via your browser. Then click on the item "Marketplace" on the left side in the bar in the "News Feed".
• The Marketplace opens in a special segment with its own navigation bar. This navigation is convenient because you can filter the products there by category.
• The payment is not regulated centrally through the platform, but is handled privately among the sellers.
• To sell a product, click on "+ Create new listing" and then on "Item for sale". Here you can now add photos, specify the price and enter other information. Then click on "Publish".
• There are no fees, neither for buyers nor for sellers. This point is particularly interesting, because it makes the Marketplace a serious competitor for the classifieds of eBay.
