Android Q: Transfer data to new phone

Have you bought a new phone and now want to transfer all data from the old to the new smartphone, you do not always have to go the lengthy way via PC backup. You can also transfer the data directly from one phone to the other.

How to transfer data from Android Q to a new phone?

There are several ways to transfer data from the old smartphone to the new one.
  1. You can transfer data via your WLAN. To do this, simply start the new smartphone and tap "Let's go" as soon as possible.
  2. Then go on to "Copy files" and connect to your WLAN.
  3. Now select "Backup from an Android smartphone" and log in with your Google account.
  4. Select your old smartphone and tap "Set up my device". Confirm the process on the old smartphone.
  5. Tap on your new smartphone and compare the access codes. If they match, tap "Next".
  6. Now unlock your old smartphone and confirm the process one last time. All data should now be copied to your new phone.
You also have the option to use an appropriate cable to connect the two smartphones. However, this method does not work for every smartphone.
