Cleaning Baking Trays - Tips
Crusted-on food residues and burnt-on grease stains often stubbornly resist cleaning actions with washing-up liquid and brushes. With a few tricks and the right tools, you can clean a crusted baking tray and save yourself hours of scrubbing. Nevertheless, you should clean baking sheets regularly.
Cleaning a baking sheet: These are the options you have
First clean the baking tray of coarse dirt. Then spread concentrated rinse water on it to the thickness of a finger and let it sit overnight. Usually the dirt can then be rubbed away with a kitchen sponge. Against heavier dirt works washing soda, chemically also sodium carbonate.- Spread about two tablespoons of soda powder on the sheet and fill it with boiling water a finger's width. Let it all soak in. Alternatively, you can also use dishwasher tabs instead of washing soda.
- Then scrub the Blecht with a dishwashing brush.
- If burnt remains, heat the baking tray on the stove and boil soda water in it.
- Repeat the procedure until all the dirt can be easily wiped off.
Remove grease residue on the baking sheet with salt
Alternatively, salt has proven to get the baking sheet clean.- Verteilen Sie Haushaltssalz großzügig auf dem Blech, sodass der ganze Boden bedeckt ist.
