Deleting a Confluence Page: How to Go About It

Confluence is a wiki software that companies use to efficiently share and document knowledge. Developed as an enterprise wiki, the tool is used by more than 40,000 teams worldwide and is also increasingly used in public wikis.

How to delete a single page in Confluence

Due to a clear user interface of the software developed by the Australian company Atlassian, it takes only a few clicks to delete a page:

1. Go to the page you want to delete and click on the menu with the three dots in the top right corner.
2. Now select the option "Delete". You will then receive a warning message that all links to this page will be broken. After checking, click "OK" to delete the page.
3. The deleted page will now be moved to the trash, where it can be restored by the admin if necessary.

Löschen einer Seitenhierarchie in Confluence

In der für Wiki-Einträge spezialisierte Software können Sie auch eine Seitenhierarchie löschen, also eine Seite mit mehreren untergeordneten Seiten:

1. Wählen Sie im „Drei-Punkte-Menü“ die Option „Löschen“ und dann „Untergeordnete Seiten löschen“.
2. Klicken Sie auf „Weiter“ und bestätigen Sie die erscheinende Warnmeldung nach Prüfung mit „OK“.
3. Die Seitenhierarchie wird nun in den Papierkorb verschoben.
