Confluence: Move a page - how it works
The Confluence software used as a corporate wiki trumps with a versatile application in sharing and creating documentation. If you want to move a page in Confluence, you have several options to do so.
When you can move a page in Confluence
Moving a page works similarly easily as deleting a Confluence page. In this regard, there are two options:- While creating a page: click the location icon at the top of the page.
- When a page has already been created: click on the "three-dot menu" and go to "Move" there.
- Use the tabs in the "Move Page" area ("Search" > "Advanced" > "Browse" > "Recently viewed") to specify the new area.
- The "Current Location" and "New Location" tabs show the current and new parent page.
- Now select "Re-sort" and then "Move" if you want to move the page within the child pages.
- Use "Move" to reorder the child pages.
