Windows 10: How to allow app access through the firewall

Proceed as follows:

1. Open the "Windows Settings" (with "Win" + "I") and there the "Update and Security" section.
2. Select there "Windows Security" and then "Firewall & Network Protection".
3. Click right on "Allow access from app through firewall".
4. It opens a window with all the apps on your system. Next to each are two checkboxes for access, once "Private" and "Public". Click on "Change settings" at the top.
5. If an app is not allowed access, although you want this, set the corresponding check in the checkbox.
6. Complete the process with "Ok".
