Discord doesn't connect: What's the reason?
If Discord doesn't manage to connect after startup, there is usually a problem with the internet connection. However, other small errors can also prevent the software from working properly. However, you can often remedy this with just a few steps.
What you can do if Discord is not connecting
If Discord is not connecting you, you may not be connected to the Internet. Check this by going to any website. If you have problems, restart your router. Also check the following:- Right-click Discord to run it as administrator.
- Add Discord as an exception in your firewall and antivirus.
- Restart Discord as well as your PC.
- Check the status of the Discord servers. Possibly Discord itself is having problems right now and is therefore not connecting. If this is the case, all you can do is wait.
Fix faulty proxy settings
Often, faulty proxy settings cause programs that access online services to fail to connect.- Exit Discord.
- Open the Control Panel.
- Navigate to "Network and Internet" > "Internet Options".
- Switch to the "Connections" tab.
- Click the "LAN Settings" button.
