Facebook: Delete phone number - here's how to do it

If you have your phone number stored in your Facebook account, you can change or delete it. Alternatively, switch the saved number to "Private" so that only you can see it.

How to remove your phone number from Facebook

If you want to delete the phone number stored in your Facebook account, it works via the account settings.

1. Call Facebook in the browser and log in.
2. Click on the arrow in the upper right corner and select "Settings and Privacy" in the menu and then "Settings".
3. Select "Mobile" in the navigation on the left. In the "Mobile Settings" category, you will see all the numbers stored in the account.
4. Click the "Remove" option for the number you want to delete.
5. Click "Remove number" in the new dialog box to confirm the deletion.

Hide phone number

Alternatively, you can hide the phone numbers stored in your account from other users using the privacy settings.
