Delete Google account - how to do it
Google is one of the most popular search engines of our time, but at the same time one of the biggest data collectors. For this reason, there are some users who no longer use the search engine and want to delete their account. In doing so, all data will also be removed.
This is how you delete your Google account
Once you have deleted your Google account, it cannot be restored. So, take another look at your Google Drive and Gmail account to see if you still want to back up any data or emails before you delete the account for good. Also make sure that you have entered a different email address for all accounts for which you use your G-mail account.- Open your account settings and go to the "Data & Personalization" tab via the menu at the top of the web page.
- Now scroll further down to the "Manage data, services and account" section.
- Now click on the "Delete service or account" entry.
- Here you select the "Delete my account" button under "Delete my Google account".
- You do not have to delete the entire account if you only want to disable individual services. For example, if you only want to remove G-Mail, click "Remove service" in the "Remove Google service" section.
- Now you will see an overview of services that you can delete from your Google account. For G-mail, just click on "Gmail" and then "Delete", after that you just need to follow the instructions. Attention, all your emails will be deleted.
