How to successfully connect an EasyBox

If you have purchased a new router in the form of an EasyBox from Vodafone, then it must be put into operation as efficiently and safely as possible.

First, you need to connect your EasyBox properly. We recommend connecting the router to your PC via LAN cable. However, it is also possible to put the Fritzbox into operation via WLAN.

First Steps: Connecting EasyBox

Your router includes several cables that must first be connected.

1. First, connect the cable that leads from the EasyBox to the phone jack.
2. Connect the power cable to a power outlet and the router. Once the connection is established, you can already connect to the EasyBox via WLAN.
3. The LAN cable leads from the router to the computer. Use the cable connection for the initial setup, if possible.

Final steps to connect an EasyBox

After you have successfully connected your EasyBox to the computer and phone jack, set it up on the PC:

1. Open your browser and enter http://easy.box or your IP address in the address bar.
2. Select "Activate > Start activation".
3. Then enter the required data. These can be found either in your documents from Vodafone or directly on your EasyBox.
4. Follow the instructions of the setup wizard to successfully connect the EasyBox. As a layman, you can thereby simply take the preset settings for your network.
