Deleting WLAN - this procedure works
If you connect to a WLAN network on your computer or mobile device, a profile is created on the device for each of these networks. If you no longer use a particular WLAN profile, you can delete it again without any problems.
How to delete old WLAN profiles on Windows PC
If you have an old WLAN profile that you no longer need, you can delete it in just a few steps. If you own a Windows 10 computer, this is possible via the network settings. To access these, first open the Start menu and navigate to "Settings" > "Network and Internet" > "WLAN". Then click on "Manage known networks", select the network you want to delete and click "Do not save".- Alternatively and on older Windows computers, you can also delete a WLAN network via the command prompt.
- To do this, please press the key combination of "Windows key" + "R" to open the Run dialog and execute the command "cmd".
- Now display all available WLAN profiles by entering "netsh wlan show profiles" and delete them by executing the command "netsh wlan delete profile name= "WLAN name"".
