Uplay: change name - how to update username

If you have been using Uplay for a long period of time, you may not be happy with your username anymore. In this case, you can easily customize your name while still keeping your old name associated with your account.

How to change your name on Uplay

You can change your name multiple times and the process is quite simple. You need to do it as follows:

1. Open the web address of Uplay and use your user data to log in.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the web page. On the left side you will find the option to change the language.
3. Set the language from English (GB) to German before proceeding with the name change.
4. In the upper right corner of the web page you will find a gear icon. Click on it to open the settings.
5. Now click on the sub-item "Change username" and wait until a new page opens.
6. In the style sheet you must now insert your new username and wait until Uplay has checked your entry. You can only use a new name if it is not in use by any other user.
7. Once Uplay has confirmed your name choice, you will need to confirm your settings.

While your old name remains associated with you in Uplay, it will no longer be visibly displayed. As a result, friends or acquaintances will no longer be able to identify you on Uplay. Due to this, you should announce your name change in advance to avoid misunderstandings.
