When you restore the factory settings, all personal data and applications will be completely erased. This will protect your privacy.- First, you should make a backup of your data to prevent all your information from being irrevocably deleted. The easiest method here is the iCloud backup.
- After that, you need to open the settings via the gray gear icon and then select the "Reset" section.
- From the options that appear, select "Erase all content and settings".
- You will now be asked if you want to update the last iCloud backup again. You should affirm this step for security reasons.
- You must now enter the security code that you otherwise use to unlock your iPad.
- On the screen now appears the question "Erase iPad?". You must now tap the "Erase" button to start the process.
- The process may take a few minutes. Once completed, your iPad will be at factory settings.
