If you have a subscription to Amazon Prime Video, you have access to a variety of series and movies. In the past, you could switch to playback via a Flash player. Nowadays, however, this is no longer necessary.

Amazon: How to switch Prime Video playback to Flash Player

To play movies and series offered by Amazon Prime Video in the browser, you previously always needed the Silverlight plugin developed by Microsoft. In the meantime, however, Amazon also offers its users the option of using Adobe Flash Player. However, you don't have to switch to Flash Player like Amazon Prime Video used to. Instead, you simply install this to be able to see all content.
  1. Many browsers, such as Chrome, have a Flash Player already installed. We therefore recommend that you only install a Flash Player separately if you encounter problems when playing Amazon Prime Video.
  2. In this case, you can install the Adobe Flash Player, for example.
  3. If you have Flash installed, you do not need to make any further settings on Amazon. The video is automatically loaded via the available software.

More info on Flash content

While in the past you often had to install a Flash Player to view websites properly, this is now hardly necessary. Popular browsers already have the necessary software to display images and videos correctly. However, Amazon still recommends installing Adobe Flash Player.
