Windows: Installing fonts - a wide choice

On the Windows operating system you have the choice between a wide range of fonts. But still, you may want to use an extravagant font that is not yet available in Windows like this. For this case Windows offers the possibility to add one or more new fonts.

How to install a new font in Windows

The newly installed fonts are available to all programs and can be used by them. To do this, just restart the program.

1. Download a new font from the net.
2. Open the font with a double click and then click "Install" at the top of the menu bar.
3. The font will be installed and can be used after the installation is complete.
4. If you want to know which fonts are already installed, you can view them via the Control Panel.
5. Open the Control Panel by typing "Control Panel" in the search bar at the bottom left and then clicking on the appropriate program.
6. Go on to "Appearance and Customization". Here you will find the Fonts folder, where all installed fonts are stored.

Not only can you install new fonts, changing the desktop is no problem. This you can easily edit with a few gadgets. Would you like, for example, that Windows 10 looks like Windows 7 again, so that is also possible.
