RimWorld does not live on outstanding technology, but on its exciting gameplay. That makes itself positively felt in the hardware requirements.

RimWorld: The opposite of high-end requirements

The system requirements of RimWorld are not given in too much detail:

• CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (or similar)
• Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 3000 (or similar), DirectX 11+ compatible
• Memory: 4 GB RAM

At 500 MB, the required memory is by no means a hurdle either. This makes it clear: RimWorld is also perfectly suitable for old and weak computers. A change in performance could nevertheless occur when the colony reaches a certain size. The graphics card is less important than the processor and RAM.
