Firefox: Change download folder - this option is available

To browse the Internet, you need a browser, such as Firefox. If you subsequently download files through it, they will be stored in your downloads folder. If you want the files to be stored in a different location, then change the folder.

How to change the download folder in Firefox

Using Firefox, you can download various files from the Internet. By default, these are stored in your downloads folder on your computer. If you want the files to be stored in a different location, then you can set a different destination folder in Firefox.
  1. Open Firefox on your computer. Then click on the icon with the three horizontal bars in the top right corner.
  2. Now select the "Settings" option in the opened drop-down menu.
  3. After that, click on "General" in the next step.
  4. Here you will see the "Files and Applications" section. Go to the "Downloads" entry.
  5. Here you will find the option "Save all files to the following folder". Click the "Browse..." button next to it.
  6. Now the file manager will open and you can select an alternative folder. Click on it to use the folder. Then you can close the settings.
  7. Your downloads will now be saved in the new folder. Klicken Sie nach einem Download auf den angezeigten Pfeil oben in der Leiste. Neben dem Download sehen Sie ein Ordner-Icon. Klicken Sie darauf, um direkt zum Ordner zu gelangen.
