Connecting Alexa to PS4: These steps are necessary
One of the most popular consoles in recent years is the PlayStation 4, which offers numerous functions in addition to gaming. If you would also like to control the console by voice command, then this is also possible. For this, you only need to connect the PlayStation with your Amazon Echo and the voice assistant Alexa.
How to connect Alexa to PS4
If you want to connect your PlayStation 4 with your Amazon Echo, then there are some requirements that need to be met. Thus, this is only possible in a roundabout way. In addition to the console and the Amazon Echo, you also need a Harmony Elite universal remote control from Logitech. You can get this on Amazon as well. You also have to download the apps "Yonomy" and "Harmony Control" from the App Store beforehand. Make sure that all devices used are in the same WLAN network, otherwise a connection is not possible.- Connect the Logitech remote control to the WLAN network. You can use the included hub for this.
- In the Alexa app, activate the Yonomy skill and in the "Yonomi" app, search for "Logitech Harmony Elite" to connect the remote to the voice assistant.
- Within the "Harmony Control" app, you will also see a list of all available devices. Search for your PlayStation 4 in it and then select it to connect.
- Now it is possible to control your PS4 via the remote control by voice command or directly via the app.
