No Man's Sky: All game modes explained - an overview

In the first version, right after release, there was only one game mode in No Man's Sky. This changed with the subsequent updates, which drastically expanded the possibilities. We show which game modes are available today.

The game modes of No Man's Sky differ greatly in difficulty.

We have taken a closer look at the list of updates for No Man's Sky including content here. In the course of this, more game modes were also added.

No Man's Sky: More game modes for more variety

The following four game modes are available:

• Normal: The standard mode was included from the beginning. It is a balanced mix of survival, exploration and building at moderate difficulty.
• Creative: Creative mode is all about building, with unlimited resources. In addition, your character can not die.
• Survival: In survival mode, the conditions are incomparably more difficult. Fewer resources, more disasters, stronger enemies - you are challenged from the start.
• Permadeath: This is the "hardcore" mode, because the death of your character is permanent and any progress is lost. Consequently, you will have to start a new game.

The multiplayer mode, also introduced later, is compatible with all the above game modes. Wichtig ist dabei nur, dass Spieler dieselbe Schwierigkeit eingestellt haben müssen, um miteinander spielen zu können.
