Update Knoppix - update the Linux distribution

Knoppix is one of the many Linux distributions that is now considered a popular and frequently used operating system. How easy an update works

Updating Knoppix works quickly and easily. You only need a small command, through which the operating system takes care of its own update.

1. Start your computer and boot Knoppix.
2. Now log in with your administrator account, because to run the command you need special rights.
3. Now open the terminal and enter the command [apt-get update] and then confirm with the [Enter] key.
4. The operating system now automatically searches for new updates and downloads them if necessary. After the download is complete, the updates are also installed automatically. For this reason, this process may take a few minutes and must not be interrupted.
5. Finally, you must enter the command [apt-get dist-upgrade] in the terminal to complete the setup.
