MS Office Word: Disable draft view - how to do it

With Microsoft Word you can edit your texts as you see fit. The tool offers a large feature set. For example, you can display the document in different views. For example, you can also easily disable the draft view again.

How to disable the draft view in Word?

MS Office Word has quite different views, all of them serving a specific purpose. With draft view, text is displayed as body text and no header or footer are used.

1. To disable draft view, click "View" at the top of the menu.
2. Now you can switch to the "Page Layout" view at the bottom right to disable the draft view.

More views and their functions

• In the print view, you can see how the document would look if you print it. This will show you options on the left side that you can use to influence the printing.
• The Outline view allows you to view the text in a tree structure. Sie sehen genau, welche Texte unter welcher Überschrift stehen und wie diese konstruiert sind.
• Die Weblayout-Ansicht zeigt Ihnen, wie das Dokument als Webseite aussehen würde.
• Im Vollbild-Lesemodus wird das Dokument im Vollbild angezeigt und alle anderen Dinge ausgeblendet. Dieser Modus eignet sich perfekt, um das Dokument noch einmal durchzugehen und auf eventuelle Fehler zu untersuchen.
