Telegram is a messenger service that not only allows you to communicate with friends and family, but also gives you the opportunity to talk to other participants about certain topics. To do this, you can be part of a group, a supergroup or a channel.

How to search for a group on Telegram

Groups, supergroups and channels on Telegram differ primarily in terms of size. For example, the scope of a group is kept rather small, which is why it is particularly suitable for family chats. With supergroups, the number of participants is almost infinite. If you would like to join a channel, you can usually follow a certain topic there, but you do not have the same options here as in groups and are rather part of a large whole.

• On Telegram, there are both private and public groups. If you want to join a private group, then this succeeds only through the manual addition by another participant or by an invitation link that you have to click.
• Public groups, however, you can join without further ado, this must only include the appropriate status.
• So you can find the group, for example, using the search icon in the app, if you already know the name of the desired group.
