Deleting YouTube comments: how to do it

If you run a YouTube channel and allow comments, you may find some extra work there. For videos of all types, it's fundamentally important to know how to delete comments.

On videos that belong to your channel, you can delete videos at will.

Comments contribute to the overall experience on YouTube. However, if comments come up that violate the guidelines or don't fit the content of your channel, you can simply delete them.

This is how you can delete YouTube comments

Proceed as follows:

1. Open the comment history and scroll down to the comment you want to delete.
2. Use the menu icon with the three dots to the right of the comment.
3. Select "Delete".

As a channel operator, you do not have to justify the action, the affected user has no way to undo the deletion. Of course, this only works for videos on your channels. If comments under other videos bother you, you can at least report them, so they might be deleted as a result.
