Even mid-range PCs are theoretically equipped for Valve Index.

Valve's VR set is supposed to deliver a 3D spectacle on an unprecedented level. Required for this is a PC that brings the required processing power.

Valve Index: System Requirements for PCs

According to Valve, your PC should meet at least the following criteria:
  • Processor: Dual-Core CPU
  • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 480
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • USB: The headset cameras require USB 3.0.
The supported operating systems are Windows 10, Linux and Valve's in-house SteamOS.
