Due to the huge rush, Index purchasers had to expect long waiting times right from the start. This also explains why the purchase proceeds in a special way.

Buy Valve Index: Order, wait, confirm - process at a glance

Unlike most online purchases, the order of Valve Index is not yet directly final valid. The reason for this is the waiting time, which can be several weeks (to months).

1. First select the desired Index parts here and click "Order".
2. Now you are in the purchase queue. However, no money will be debited yet.
3. Only then, when your order is ready, you must finalize the purchase. You will be informed by mail and must follow the instructions there.
4. After successful completion of the purchase, including payment, the VR set will be shipped.

Currently, the waiting time for German buyers is on average a few weeks, after it was previously many months. Whether this will change again in the run-up to Christmas remains to be seen.
