To prevent unauthorized access to your home network, it is important to protect your WLAN with a secure password. To be on the safe side, it is recommended to change the password regularly. This is done via the settings of your router, which you can access via a browser of your choice.

So change the WLAN password with a FritzBox

If you want to make sure that no one gains unauthorized access to your home network, then it is important to change the WLAN password at regular intervals. To do this, however, you must first go to the user interface of your FritzBox. You can access this via a browser of your choice.

1. Log in to the user interface with your FritzBox access data. For security reasons, it is important to also change the FritzBox password after some time. You can usually find the access data in the documents of your Internet provider.
2. Click on "WLAN" in the top left of the user interface.
3. Now select the option "Security".
4. Then you can enter your new password under the item "Network Key". Löschen Sie zuvor das ursprüngliche Passwort. Achten Sie darauf, Groß- und Kleinschreibung, Zahlen und Sonderzeichen zu verwenden. Ein sicheres Passwort lässt sich nicht leicht erraten.

6. Anschließend müssen Sie sich mit allen Geräten erneut mit Ihrem WLAN und dem neuen Passwort verbinden.
