Dropbox is one of the best-known names in the world among free cloud services for home users. With Dropbox Transfer, a special feature now exists that we explain below.

With Dropbox Transfer, you can mail files directly from Dropbox.

Dropbox Transfer was first introduced in 2019 and has been eagerly used ever since.

Normally, sharing files in cloud folders goes through sharing. With Dropbox Transfer, there is now another way:

• Dropbox Transfer allows you to send files directly from Dropbox.
• This is convenient, for example, if the recipient does not have Dropbox access. In addition, this does not occupy cloud storage space.
• The maximum size is 100 GB per transfer - but this does not apply to free users. These are still allowed to transfer 100 MB per transfer.
• The transfer can be done via link or email.

The option is easy to find in Dropbox, for example, in the PC client: click on a folder or file there, you will see in the bottom right the function "Send with" and then "Dropbox Transfer" as an option.
